Junior Achievement High School Trade Careers Expo

April 11 and 12, 2012

In partnership with the Tri-City Building Trades


 "It is important to encourage post-secondary education to our youth.  Among the important avenues for this education are the excellent apprenticeship and community/technical college programs our area offers.  These skilled trades positions offer excellent careers and are essential to the economic health of our community and state."

Event Overview 

During the Expo, students: 

  • Learn about the demand for skilled tradesmen in their local communities.
  • Gather education and training information required for the building trades field.
  • Participate in hands-on activities.
  • Speak with professionals in the industry.
The goal of the student event is to:
  • Increase student awareness of career opportunities in their local communities.
  • Provide students with the knowledge and resources they need to make an informed decision about their career plans and how to pursue them.
  •
