Junior Achievement Sparks Student Success

Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success.  Our volunteer-delivered, K-12 programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential.

Junior Achievement Enhances Our Community

Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers, Junior Achievement of the Heartland helps young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school.  JA sparks students to develop competitive skills and confidence.  Their success bolsters the local workforce and contributes to economic growth.

Each year, JA of the Heartland works with more than:

  • more than 56,000 students in 24 counties in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin
  • more than 3,700 volunteers from the business community
  • 260 schools and youth organizations
