JA In-School Volunteer

"You get more back from the students than you give." Our JA classroom volunteers tell us that volunteering is easy; you receive training from our professional staff and all the materials needed to be successful in the classroom. Visits typically last less than an hour, and involve five to ten visits. You will be providing practical, hands-on activities to students. It's also fun - an impressive 83 percent of our volunteers continue teaching JA programs after their first experience.

Classes are taught in the fall and spring. Once you have been trained, you are eligible to teach any grade level from Kindergarten to 12th grade. The teacher remains in the classroom with you, and JA supports you every step of the way.

You can make a significant difference in the lives of an entire classroom of students. Junior Achievement volunteers supplement the supplied classroom activities with practical business tips and advice gleaned from real experiences.

To learn more about becoming a JA In-School Volunteer, please send an email to moline.general@ja.org.
