Junior Achievement Sparks Student Success

Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success.  Our volunteer-delivered, K-12 programs, foster work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.  JA's experiential learning inspires kids to dream big and reach their potential.

Junior Achievement Enhances Our Community

Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers, Junior Achievement of the Heartland helps young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school.  JA sparks students to develop competitive skills and confidence.  Their success bolsters the local workforce and contributes to economic growth.

Junior Achievement of the Heartland is a member of
JA Worldwide and a part of a global organization that operates in 123 countries and reaches 9.7 million students.

Each year, JA of the Heartland works with more than:

  • more than 56,000 students in 24 counties in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin
  • more than 3,700 volunteers from the business community
  • 260 schools and youth organizations

Junior Achievement Creates Alumni Success

Junior Achievement reached out to its alumni to help determine the long-term impact of JA programs. Our alumni are more than twice as confident that they can successfully compete in a business environment, compared to adults without JA experience. Check out the impact report results for more information!
